DWI Classes

Article 42.12, Section l3(h) of the Criminal Procedure Code requires individuals convicted of DWI first offense and seeking probation to attend and successfully complete a department-certified training program. Failure to complete the program within 80 days (unless an extension has been granted) from the date of probation will lead to the revocation of the offender's license. Unless the training program is finished, the certificate can not be restored. The Comprehensive program is 12 hours long and is intended to help DWI participants improve their awareness of alcohol, and drugs and how these contribute to driving behaviors, and help them create interventions that will decrease the risk of potential DWI conduct.
